Systems, Supply and Delivery
- Under the supervision of the Assistant Buyer issue new & revised items to the vendors
- Assisting in maintaining information flows & ensuring critical dates are achieved
- Assisting in the maintenance of accurate data on the system, including PO delivery & dates.
- Under the guidance of the Assistant Buyer helping gather and track information from new and existing suppliers.
- Under the direction of the Assistant Buyer setting up new styles & vendors on the system.
- Assisting the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in sending out top line order to vendors.
- Assisting the Buyer and Assistant Buyer to raise purchase orders & distributing them to the vendors.
- Under the direction of the Assistant Buyer liaising with the vendors regarding their Critical Paths & key dates (sample sending date, handover dates, etc.)
- Attending critical path & delivery meetings & liaising with the production & shipping teams on item statuses.
Range Planning & Sample Management
- Organising samples for reviews.
- Assisting the team in sending and logging samples and submissions on the critical path.
- Under the direction of Assistant Buyer collating seasonal & weekly comp shops, as required.
- Presenting comp shops to the wider team during the Monday trade meetings when BAA or AB is absent.
- Supporting the Assistant Buyer to produce key team visual and data led information such as sales and selections and helping maintain key product information files.
Communications & Web, Catalogue, Social Media
- Requesting & chasing photo and wholesale samples
- Supporting the team in preparing & packing samples for Photoshoot
- Attending Photoshoot, if required
- Proofing of data, website and catalogues as necessary
Team Success
- Managing own tasks and speaking up when completed or if unable to complete.
- Assisting colleagues where possible
- Identifying issues and raising them to more senior BAA or AB
- General administrative support to the wider Buying Team.
- General office duties such as taking messages and forwarding calls, accepting parcels and couriers. Supporting reception if required
Key competencies and skills will include:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Exemplary verbal and written English
- Good computer skills – MS office package, ability to learn in house programs, database experience and strong excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Navision an advantage.
- Highly organised, numerical and efficient with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Degree or equivalent experience that demonstrates the expected skills.
- Ability to be an efficient, multi-tasking and reliable team member who can be responsible for their own priorities and workload.
